Overview

The Part Time with benefits Carrier Clinic Psychiatry House Coverage Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant coordinates and administers psychiatric and medical care to all patients and residents of Carrier Clinic, and through a contract between Carrier Clinic and East Mountain Hospital, to all inpatients of East Mountain Hospital. Conforms to performance improvement standards of patient care as established through Policies and Procedures. Provides professional representation of HMH Carrier to other health professionals, community agencies, and the public.

Part Time Monday-Friday 6p-10p or 5-10p Monday through Thursday. Psychiatry experience prescribing meds for at least 1 year required.

Qualifications

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

New Jersey State licensed APN.
Graduate of an approved APN Program.
Membership in professional societies.
Demonstrates a courteous, cooperative, pleasant and positive attitude, maintaining strict standards of confidentiality.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills that may include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Psychiatry experience prescribing meds for at least 1 year required.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
Advance Practice Nurse License.
Psychiatric - Mental Health Nursing or Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Certification.
AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification or completed in the first 90 days of employment.

Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:

Training and experience with patients across the lifespan.
Training and experience with patients with substance abuse disorders.
Training and experience with the EPIC (Electronic Healthcare Record (EMR)) system.

Licenses and Certifications Required:

Active, unrestricted medical license as a Physician Assistant in New Jersey.
Active, unrestricted Controlled Dangerous Substances (CDS) license.
Active, unrestricted Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) license.

Licenses and Certifications Preferred:

Certificate of Added Qualifications (CAQ) in Psychiatry.
