An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time (10 PA’s) Specialty Doctor in Older Adults. The post holder will be a core member of the Community Mental Health Team.
The successful applicant will work alongside a large and enthusiastic number of consultant and Specialty Dr colleagues working across Cheshire and Wirral Partnership Trust.
The applicant will see patients referred to the Older Adults Community Mental Health Team. This will include assessing and managing functional and organic patients in the outpatient clinics and in the community.
The Specialty doctor will carry an individual caseload but will have support from a consultant in their role. The post holder will undertake community visits in patient’s homes and care home visits. The post holder will do outpatient clinics and will be expected to undertake Mental Health Act assessments.
This CMHT post is based at the Vale House Resource Centre, Winsford of Cheshire and Wirral Partnership (CWP) NHS Foundation Trust. This post has been newly created to increase the medical input into the older adult’s community mental health team. The post holder will receive support from the existing full-time substantive consultant attached to the community mental health team.
CWP provides health and care services for local people, including mental health, learning disability, community physical health and all-age disability care – including the provision of three GP surgeries.
