Radiology Technologist- Multiple Shift Options

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform diagnostic imaging examinations like X-rays, MRI scans, and CT scans.
- Prepare patients by explaining procedures, taking measures to ensure patient comfort and safety, and positioning patients correctly.
- Follow physician instructions carefully and adhere to all radiology protocols to ensure the capture of high-quality images.
- Maintain and operate imaging equipment, troubleshoot issues, and ensure the imaging area is safe and ready for procedures.
- Assist radiologists with image evaluation, providing technical support and expertise.
- Document all procedures and maintain accurate records for healthcare teams and patient histories.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
- Stay current with developments in the field to maintain technology expertise and compliance with regulations.
- Adhere to strict standards of patient privacy and confidentiality.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
- Current Oregon Radiographer License or Temporary License upon hire.
- Must obtain National Certification from American Registry of Radiologic Technologists within 6 months of hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association certification upon hire.
- New graduates must obtain an OBMI temporary license and permanent license within 6 months of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience in a hospital or clinical setting.
- Advanced certification in specific imaging fields such as MRI or CT scanning.
- Strong understanding of radiation safety and the ability to minimize exposure to patients and staff.
Skills:
- Excellent technical skills with the ability to operate complex machinery and software.
- Strong communication skills for explaining procedures and findings to patients and healthcare staff.
- Attention to detail for capturing high-quality diagnostic images and maintaining accurate records.
- Problem-solving skills to assess images and equipment and ensure optimal use.
- Interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, often when they are in distress.
