Seeking a RN or LPN for Legend Buttes Health Clinic, located in Crawford, NE
Full-time (30-40 hours/week), Permanent, Hourly
Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
No weekends, nights, or on-call hours.
Position Summary:
This position will be responsible for fulfilling RN or LPN duties as well as assisting with daily operational functions of the clinic.
Job Duties:
- Assist leadership in ensuring that LBHS is following current regulations as stated by CMS.
- Assist in coordinating and scheduling visiting specialist providers, acting as liaison between Administration and specialist providers.
- Perform routine pre-examination procedures including taking vital signs, assessing, and recording objective and subjective data concerning presenting condition.
- Assist Provider with examinations and procedures.
- Assist with medication and immunization administration as directed by providers.
- Prepare and clean the patient area; set up equipment, clean and facilitate room set up after a procedure.
- Perform patient care measures including injections, minor dressing changes.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and safe environment for patients and co-workers.
- Maintain and ensure confidentiality of Protected Health Information (PHI).
- Maintain a system for accurately recording and reporting patient conditions in the medical record.
- Monitor and order medical supplies as the demands of the Clinic dictate.
- In collaboration with the providers, create and maintain patient education information.
- Follow providers directives regarding communication to patients i.e. test results, medication changes, etc.
- Calibrate and check equipment daily and/or prior to use.
- Assist with patient education.
- Participate in the orientation and training of new staff.
- Telephone prescriptions into pharmacy per provider order.
- Take part in quality/safety/infection control improvement initiatives projects by observing/reporting/engaging/resolving any concerns or issues.
- All other duties as assigned.
Education:
- Current LPN or RN license.
Experience:
- One year experience preferred.
Certifications:
- Current CPR Certification.
Skills:
- Ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written communication skills in multiple relationships with variety of cultural and social backgrounds.
- Ability to recognize, anticipate, and respond to the needs of all customers in a caring, respectful, and courteous manner that leads to satisfactory resolution for the customer.
- Must be able to read and write English/basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Must be able to use a variety of communication devices including telephone, computer, fax, copier, paging system, written and verbal skills to effectively disseminate information. Ability to monitor patient care requires visual skills.
