We are currently seeking a Relief Emergency Veterinarian to join our team in Greensboro, North Carolina. The position offers ongoing day and night shifts, covering 7a-7p and 7p-7a. The ideal candidate will have experience with dogs and cats, with no exotics. The EMR system used is Cornerstone/Instinct. On average, there are typically 5-10 cases per shift. This position involves solo DVM coverage, with some shifts having a swing doctor from 12p-10p. The hospital is supported by 2 ICU Tech/Assistants and 2 ER Tech/Assistants.
Required procedures include:
- Lac repairs
- Wound cares
- Thoracentesis
- Abdominocentesis
- Pericardiocentesis
- Closed reductions
- Tarsorrhaphy
The facility has 4-5 exam rooms, including a comfort room, and 1 ICU room with 15 kennels, an oxygen cage, and a parvo/isolation ward.
Minimum Qualifications:
- DVM or equivalent degree
- Experience in emergency medicine
- Proficiency in required procedures
- Ideal ability to work both day and night shifts
