About the Job:
Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer
Join our team in the beautiful city of Santa Rosa, CA, where we are offering an exciting opportunity for an Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer. This role involves performing cardiac ultrasound diagnostic procedures with minimal supervision, working closely with our imaging management team to ensure high-quality care. The position comes with a generous compensation package, including a $20,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance. Compensation: $110,000 to $140,000 with Paid relocation
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform echocardiograms and other cardiac imaging procedures to assist with patient diagnosis.
- Interpret and report on the imaging findings directly to the attending physician for further patient management.
- Maintain echocardiography equipment, ensuring it's in good condition and calibrated as necessary.
- Adhere to departmental protocols and standards while carrying out cardiac imaging procedures.
- Provide assistance and explanations to patients during procedures to ensure comfort and compliance.
- Participate in departmental meetings to discuss improvements in protocols and patient care strategies.
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Graduate of accredited school of Medical-Cardiac Ultrasound or equivalent training.
- Must obtain a National Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer certification from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography upon hire.
- Alternatively, obtain National Certification from Cardiovascular Credentialing International upon hire.
- Must possess National Provider BLS certification from the American Heart Association upon hire.
- At least 1 year of experience in cardiac sonography.
- Strong understanding of the principles of echocardiography and non-invasive cardiac testing.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous hospital-based experience in cardiac sonography preferred.
- Advanced certification in cardiac sonography is a plus.
- Experience with the latest echocardiography technologies and software.
- Demonstrated ability to perform complex cardiac imaging procedures.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
Skills:
- Expertise in echocardiogram technology and diagnostic procedures.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail in both conducting and interpreting echocardiograms.
- Ability to maintain calm and efficiency in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of educating patients and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
