Our goal is to quickly return our patients to their life at home, with over 90% of our patients discharging to home in 2-3 days. Our nurses care for 4-5 patients on day and evening shifts, and 5-6 patients on nights. There are about 60 nurses on this specialized unit and the staff absolutely enjoy sharing their knowledge to new graduate nurses. When the unit manager was asked about the unit, the manager replied "H7000 staff are amazing! It is a great team, and they all work together to get things done." We have a unit culture that is based on helping each other, speaking up for patient safety, and asking questions when unsure. The Spine unit is a great place to learn, grow and develop your skills.
