this position is recruiting to build behavioral health team at new Crystal Lake behavioral health clinic.
Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Completes psychosocial assessments, psychological testing, and treatment plans in cooperation with patient and multidisciplinary team.
- Offers assistance with interpreting psychological tests as needed.
- Conducts a comprehensive assessment of the clinical needs of each patient prior to beginning individual, family or group therapy.
- Works collaboratively with the patient to develop a treatment plan addressing patient's identified treatment goals.
- Delivers behavioral health care in accordance with patient evaluation, treatment plan and within the scope of their license.
- Works directly in treatment relationship with patients, individually or in groups, in consultation with Psychiatrist/NP.
- Provides crisis assessment and intervention.
- Consults and coordinates care of patient with physician/NP, therapists and community agencies.
- Provides appropriate discharge planning.
- Refers patient or patient's family to other community resources.
- Participates in clinical collaboration and/or psychiatry supervision to discuss cases and determine appropriate course of treatment.
- Maintains pertinent patient data and documentation in medical record in accordance with state, TJC and Mercyhealth system guidelines.
- Attends required meetings or staffing as indicated by Program Manager.
- Offers in-service education programs and functions as a resource to other staff and the community as needed.
- Participates in development and selection of patient education materials and services.
- Participates in performance improvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Complies with all Mercy Health System, State and TJC policies and regulations.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Doctorate in Psychology and appropriate level of field experience and coursework.
CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE
Holds and maintains Psychologist license in the state of practice
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Passing the Driver's License Check and/or Credit Check (for those positions requiring).
Passing the WI Caregiver Background Check and/or IL Health Care Workers Background Check.
Must be able to follow written/oral instructions.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Broad background of training and experience with various patient populations and modes of service delivery
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Requires a high level of independent judgment. The position has substantial latitude for independent action.
Computer Skills
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of preferred Database software; Internet software and Word Processing software
