Position Summary: As RN Manager; To provide quality healthcare in a culturally sensitive, competent, caring manner to empower our patients and help them attain their highest level of health both physically and spiritually. The RN Manager is responsible for department functions such as performance improvement, quality, risk management, compliance, environment of care and enforcing Human Resource policies.
Critical Tasks:
- RN Manager coordinates patient care services, workflow and activities provided by nursing and support staff by providing guidance, support and direction to ensure consistent provision of quality patient care.
- RN Manager demonstrates professionalism in all interactions by projecting a positive attitude to job, workplace and others and also promotes teamwork, respect, innovation, and excellence.
- RN Manager will conduct him/herself in a professional manner, demonstrating behaviors and accountability which supports the ideals of the Mission, Vision, and Values of the GRHC to every customer, both internal and external.
- RN Manager actively supports Culturally Competent Care and Kindness Campaign by demonstrating the highest degree of kindness, compassion, and respect of culture during all interactions with patients and their family members.
- RN Manager supervises and supports the professional development of the RNs.
- Assists the Podiatry Director with managing and supervising daily administrative and patient care operations of the Podiatry Department to ensure the highest quality of patient care consistent with established professional, regulatory and governmental standards and to comply with the GRHC policies, procedures and Code of Ethics.
- Acts as an advocate for patients in the Podiatry Department; promotes patient satisfaction by properly addressing their needs and showing kindness, respect, courtesy, and caring at every point of patient contact.
- Establishes and maintains nursing and support staff at appropriate levels to ensure timely patient care while maximizing productivity of staff and provides direct supervision of all nursing and support staff.
- Supervises Front Office Support, Department Support, Registered Nurses, and Medical Assistants.
Required Qualifications:
- Associates’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
- Must have 2 years management experience in an outpatient clinic setting.
- Current and valid State of Arizona RN licensure.
- Current CPR certification or obtain within 30 days of hire.
- Ability to be highly productive and provide compassionate care in a diverse setting and in stressful situations.
- Knowledge and understanding of the principles, practices, methods and techniques of strategic planning, forecasting and budgeting.
- Demonstrated ability to relate to diverse cultures and specifically the Gila River Indian Community and other Native American Cultures.
