Interim Clinical Expert, Cardiovascular Critical Care Needed in Texas Healthcare System
The Position
- Seeking an Interim Clinical Expert to support the cardiovascular critical care department within a highly complex 31-bed clinical environment.
- Reporting to the Vice President of Critical Care Services, this leader will oversee a team of approximately 90 FTEs.
- Responsibilities include assessing and standardizing nursing practices, ensuring that care protocols are evidence-based, and developing a culture of accountability within the unit.
- Ideal candidates will be experts in cardiovascular critical care, capable of fostering staff engagement, with a proven track record of improving clinical practice standards and team accountability in a healthcare setting.
- Must be available to start within 2-3 weeks of acceptance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) certification or equivalent preferred.
- Extensive experience in cardiovascular intensive care, with proficiency in managing ECMO, Impella, IABP, and other complex cardiac support systems.
Compensation Details:
- Compensation Range: $160,000 to $170,000 annually.
- The final compensation rate will be determined based on experience, education, training, location, internal equity, and budget considerations, in accordance with Fair Market Value evaluation.
