We are currently hiring an Occupational Health Lead for our sunny Irvine, California site. A Day in the Life:
As an Occupational Health Lead, you are responsible for unleashing the full potential of our people and culture while simultaneously achieving timely and cost-effective manufacturing of high-quality medical devices. The Occupational Health Lead provides nursing services and first aid to employees or persons who become ill or injured at work facilities and industrial plants.
- Maintain appropriate clinical standards. Follows the guidelines established by the Company policy and procedure manuals.
- Ensure that all aspects of care have respect for personal values and beliefs and are focused on the individual needs of each patient.
- Elicit and review information about the patient's medical history.
- Order or execute various tests, analyses, results, reports, and diagnostic images to deliver information on a patient's condition promptly to determine appropriate treatment and follow up.
- Coordinate or prescribe treatments and medications appropriate for the patient's condition.
- Promote health by educational instruction as well as advising patients concerning diet, hygiene, and methods for the prevention of disease.
- All entries into the medical record whether electronic or on paper will be legible, complete, dated, timed, and signed with appropriate credentials.
- Participate in department quality improvement activities, and staff educational programs, attend departmental meetings, and demonstrate and maintain clinical competency in the delivery of patient care services by Company guidelines.
- Participate in Peer Review and Chart Audit processes as designated by the Medical Director.
- Maintain collaboration with the physician to deal with issues outside of their scope of practice.

What you'll bring to Alcon:
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs.; Assoc.+6yrs; M.S.+0 yrs.)
- The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English.
- 2 Years of Relevant Experience.
- 1 Year of Proven Leadership.
- Work hours: M-F - 8am - 5pm.
- Travel Requirements: None.

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:
- Nursing Degree or related field preferred.
- Experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Current active state Registered Nursing license: State Advanced Practice Registered Nurse License in good standing or the ability to quickly obtain this license is required.
- Board Certified for Advanced Practice.
- Occupational Health Certification preferred.
