Position Summary
The RN-PCC is responsible for managing, and providing care to the patient and his/her family, and for directing and supervising nursing care provided by other members of the patient care team. The RN-PCC is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients. The RN-PCC is also responsible for monitoring the processes that address the important aspects of care: infection prevention, telemetry, achievement and maintenance of hemodynamic/pulmonary stability, and patient /family education. Feedback from patients and families, physician, and other health professionals is incorporated into planning for support services required. The RN-PCC prioritizes patient care needs and provides leadership to, and development of, the patient care team. The RN-PCC is responsible for assessing, implementing, coordinating, delegating and evaluating the nursing care of patients, within the Imaging Services Department, in alignment with the professional practice model.
