Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Scientist I, Pharmacology for our Discovery site located in Worcester, MA. We are seeking a motivated, skilled scientist to work within the Oncology team in our Worcester site. While retaining an element of hands-on responsibility, this position is also largely focused upon leveraging the individual’s scientific strengths through the mentoring of more junior staff. This position requires competency of all aspects of oncology studies including the skills and techniques necessary to satisfy the overall study objectives.

Job Qualifications
The following are minimum requirements related to the Scientist I position.
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree (B.S./B.A) or equivalent in a scientific related discipline. Master's degree (M.S./M.A.) or Ph.D. preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years previous directly related laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical or contract laboratory environment. Animal handling in lab setting is required. Experience with cancer tumor models and imaging is preferred.
- Other: Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Full understanding of regulatory requirements of study types assigned, as well as Testing Facility SOPs and Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs), as appropriate. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in a team environment. Able to prioritize work and meet deadlines under minimal direction. Proficiency in the use of standard software including Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc. and with standard laboratory calculations. Proficiency in the use of analytical instrumentation software with the ability to troubleshoot for routine and non-routine work.
Compensation Data
The pay range for this position is $70,000 to $74,000. Please note that salaries vary within the range based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, skills, education, certifications, and location.
