Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Technician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will assist in performing diagnostic tests, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring the highest quality standards in patient care. You will play a crucial role in supporting healthcare professionals by providing accurate and timely laboratory results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic tests on patient samples, including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
- Prepare samples for analysis and perform quality control checks on testing procedures.
- Record and analyze test results, providing clear and accurate reports to physicians and healthcare providers.
- Collaborate with other medical staff to discuss test results and contribute to patient care plans.
- Adhere to laboratory protocols and procedures to ensure the safety and confidentiality of patient information.
- Assist in the training of new staff and students as needed.
- Stay current with advancements in medical technology and laboratory best practices.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Medical Technology or a related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Certification from a recognized body (e.g., ASCP, AMT) is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in using laboratory equipment and software.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly with medical personnel.
- Knowledge of relevant safety protocols and procedures.
Working Conditions:
