Job Description:
The GT Strategy and Initiatives team within BMC is responsible for several areas of work that advise Global Technology senior leadership and the company's Management Team of strategic active and future projects across the entire GT organization. In addition, the team delivers GT's regulator-driven review summaries and documentation to top company executives, and the Board, to enable decisions on the direction of the entire Global Technology organization.
Responsibilities:
- Consistent delivery of accurate Board-ready materials inclusive of, but not limited to, financial justifications for impact of strategic projects and programs, initiative plans and supporting rationale, organizational health analyses and associated opportunities, senior executive project updates, support for key business decisions, cursory market research, and other items that will emerge organically as the business changes.
- Applied ability to “connect the dots” between what has been provided in other presentations to predict or identify key trends and insights happening in GT and/or industry.
- Demonstrates business acumen in technology from a conceptual and business standpoint.
- Exemplifies professional presence to effectively collaborate with leaders, teammates, and key stakeholders at all levels.
- Reliably delivers pristine work and recommends solutions in highly ambiguous situations.
- Quickly pivots and reprioritizes when faced with changing environmental factors or requirements.
- Effectively navigates a highly matrixed organization, achieving effective socialization and buy-in of material content and ideas.
- Recognizes the potential impact work outputs have on leadership decision making, of which the standard for quality is extremely high and the tolerance for errors is low-to-none.
- Expertly synthesizes quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources into salient, succinctly written, senior executive-level insights.
Required Qualifications:
- Strong business acumen as well as a broad understanding of technology (from a business and conceptual standpoint - not necessarily deep engineering expertise); this is a role at the intersection of business and technology. A Technology or General Management MBA, or equivalent experience, would demonstrate this skill.
- Comfort in highly ambiguous situations, with the ability to quickly structure approaches to solve these ambiguous problems. 3-5 years of applicable, prior work experience would demonstrate this skill.
- Ability to synthesize quantitative and qualitative data from multiple sources into salient, senior executive-level insights and be able to effectively communicate these succinctly via written PowerPoint presentations. Prior management consulting, or equivalent, experience would demonstrate this skill.
Desired Qualifications:
- Facility in communicating and working with executive-level leaders, and comfort leading "up" and influencing others without having formal authority. Relevant prior work experience would demonstrate this skill.
- Incredible attention to detail and a willingness and desire to learn. Relevant prior work experience would demonstrate this skill.
