The Defense Group at Leidos currently has an opening for a Senior Scientist to work in our Maryland office. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience helping the ACWA SOCS mission. In this mission we assist the Program Executive Office, Assembled Chemical Weapons Alternatives in overseeing the safe destruction of chemical materiel and closure of the PCAPP and BGCAPP plants.
Primary Responsibilities
- Review and provide an analysis and/or comments on the bi-weekly monitoring baseline data for both BGCAPP and PCAPP submitted by the SC.
- Provide quarterly statistical dashboards of the data and provide recommendations for process improvements on the monitoring systems at the facilities. Emergent issues will be communicated to SAL.
- Support Quantitative Risk assessment development at the direction of the SAL to address emerging identified risks at the PCAPP and BGCAPP sites.
- Review technical and managerial documents to support risk management functional area activities and identify issues, risks, and opportunities.
Basic Qualifications
- Requires BS degree and 15 years of prior relevant experience or Masters with 10 – 13 years of prior relevant experience.
- May possess a Doctorate in technical domain.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in laboratory and monitoring QC/QP requirements and statistical evaluation and trending methods to oversee program and provide recommendations for continuous improvement based on findings.
- Experience in Quantitative Risk Assessment development and execution and risk initiators and evaluation.
- Understanding of chemical demilitarization program history and conduct of operations.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $108,550.00 - $196,225.00
