Kimel Park Surgery Center is a multi-specialty practice that focuses on providing the best and safest patient experience in the outpatient setting. We are currently seeking a dynamic OR Circulating RN to join our staff in the capacity of a full-time Circulating OR RN role.
Job Summary
Circulating nurses have a crucial role in the surgery setting. They ensure all patient paperwork is completed, such as consent forms, and document what takes place during the procedure. They act as patient advocates by assuring that safety procedures are being met and replenishing surgical supplies as needed. After the procedure, they verify instrument count and complete charting and other related duties.
Being detail-oriented is essential for OR nurses, as small mistakes can significantly impact a patient’s condition. Nurses must also be able to multitask, listening to the surgeon, monitoring the patient, and assisting with the procedure simultaneously.
