Responsibilities
As our Cardiac OR Nurse at Mercy General Hospital, you’ll care for patients who may have life-threatening cardiac events or conditions while helping their families navigate daily care and the long-term plan for healing and maintenance outside of the hospital.
You’ll never have the same day twice as your patients’ needs evolve. That’s why you must be adaptable and detail-oriented, observing vitals and reporting the warning signs early to our multidisciplinary team of cardiologists, EKG techs, and other cardiovascular professionals.

Position Summary:
- Develop the skill set to manage very acute and complex cardiovascular patients.
- Managing patients with acute and implantable mechanical circulatory devices, Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR).
- You will be trained in direct recovery of the post-surgery patient.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- Current California Registered Nurse (RN) license
- One (1) year of experience in med/surge acute care setting as a Registered Nurse OR experience with scrubbing and circulating abilities.
- BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Other certifications may be required (i.e.; CNOR, ACLS)
- Cardiac OR experience in an acute care setting
