Job Summary:
Kelsey-Seybold Clinic’s Pediatricians provide care from birth to early adulthood and are concerned with the health of infants, children, and teenagers. They specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of ailments specific to young people and track their patients’ growth to adulthood. Most of the work of pediatricians involves treating day-to-day illnesses that are common to children, such as minor injuries and infectious diseases and providing preventative health services like immunizations.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduled to work on an “as needed” basis
- Attend New Provider Orientation
- Follow all KSC policies and procedures
- Adhere to the Scope of Practice for the Pediatric department to include physicals
- Time stamp in/out when working at the Clinics
- Coordinate all template schedules with the respective Clinic Administrator
- Maintain EPIC in Baset messages (follow up of all labs using CITRIX as needed)
- Contact Department Chief regarding follow-up of unresulted and unaddressed stat labs
- Sign out to designated Specialty On-Call physician, as necessary
- Close all encounters on the day of service
Qualifications:
- Board Eligible or Board Certified Pediatric
- Active Texas license
- DEA, DPS
- Ability to work from 8a-5p Monday-Friday or 9a-2p on Saturdays
