Functions in a leadership role, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team as a direct care provider and clinical expert. Develops and implements practice guidelines, participates as an active and integral member of the clinical pathway team, and maintains the established standards of care and practice through staff development, clinical improvement activities, and patient/staff education.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
- Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
- Must hold certification in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED
- BSN degree.
- Two (2) years of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse in the clinical specialty.
- Additional Life Support credential (ACLS, PALS, NRP, etc.) or other clinical specialty certifications in specific units.
- Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
