Overview:
The Patient Access Team Lead supports the Manager and provides guidance for onsite team. They will act as a liaison to the team and Manager to advocate for opportunities for process improvements and team success. The Team Lead will uphold patients' healthcare experience as a priority and act as an ambassador of services. The incumbent is responsible to ensure all patients' needs are met, demonstrate a willingness to learn new skills, and foster a harmonious work environment in which high quality patient care and customer service are consistently provided. They will support and provide guidance daily to the team and management within their assigned areas. Coordinate mentoring and onboarding of new staff members, along with educating changes as they occur.

Responsibilities:
- This role will complete the essential functions of an Access Representative and ensure performance and thorough understanding of all applicable tasks not limited to; Registration, Pre- Registration, scheduling, scanning and sending documents verifying their validity, collecting monies and point of service charge entry when applicable and knowledgeable in insurance verification systems.
- Support and provide guidance to the team and management.
- Coordinates the training and onboarding of new staff members to area of assignment. Facilitates additional or follow up training to experienced employees as needed and maintains all training documentation for team.
Qualifications:
- Associate's Degree in Arts or related field and 3-5 years experience in Patient Access or Revenue Cycle experience required.
- HS diploma or equivalent and 3-5 years experience in Patient Access or Revenue Cycle experience required.

Starting Pay:
Our pay ranges are market competitive. The pay range for this job begins at $19.68/hr, but your offer will be determined based on your education and experience.
Remote Work/Work from Home:
This position is not eligible to work remotely, which means that the person hired will be required to work onsite at one of our Children’s Mercy locations and may not work from home.
