Prairie Ridge Health is looking for a team member to join our Clinic in the role of CMA or LPN or RN. This position is a 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) and is responsible for providing routine patient care in an ambulatory setting under the direction of the physician or other designated licensed staff.
POSITION SUMMARY CMA: The Certified/Registered Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA), under the direction of the physician or other designated licensed staff, provides routine patient care in an ambulatory setting. The CMA/RMA is able to work as part of a team and perform both clinical and administrative duties. Clinical duties may include taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, obtaining preliminary visit information, preparing patients for examination/procedure, sterilization of medical instruments and administering medications as directed by provider or designee. The CMA/RMA may also act as a scribe by documenting (on behalf of the provider) all clinically relevant interaction and dialogue during the course of the patient visit. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records and filling out insurance forms/paperwork.
POSITION SUMMARY LPN: The LPN performs as a professional nurse in the area of patient care and education. The LPN provides nursing care for adults, pediatrics, infants, adolescents, and elderly through physical, psychological and social assessments and communicates the findings to the RN, physician and/or mid-level provider. The LPN manages, organizes, and provides direct patient care incorporating clinical decision-making, facilitating the next steps in the patient’s plan of care, and prioritization of activities.
POSITION SUMMARY RN: The RN is responsible for providing leadership and direction to the patient care team. The RN provides nursing care for adults, pediatrics, infants, adolescents, and elderly through physical, psychological and social assessments and then formulates a nursing diagnosis, and communicates findings to the physician and/or mid-level provider. The RN manages, organizes, and provides direct patient care incorporating clinical decision-making, facilitating the next steps in the patient’s plan of care, and prioritization of activities. Education of patient’s family and other health care team members is provided by the RN, incorporating health maintenance and disease process.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS/LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRATION:
- Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant through the AMT organization.
- CPR Certification
OR
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical or Vocational Nursing Program
- Valid nursing license as recognized by the state of Wisconsin.
- Current CPR
- A minimum of one-two years of experience preferred.
OR
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Baccalaureate degree preferred
- Valid nursing license as recognized by state of Wisconsin.
- Current CPR
- Relevant clinical experience preferred.
Shift: Monday-Friday, days
