Full Time RN - Medical Surgical
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing direct patient care in a fast-paced, acute care environment. The RN will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, as well as collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to provide a safe and quality patient experience.
Responsibilities of the Medical Surgical RN include:
- Administering medications and treatments
- Monitoring patient vital signs and responding to changes in condition
- Performing patient assessments and documenting findings
- Developing and implementing patient care plans
- Educating patients and their families about their condition and treatment
- Collaborating with other members of the healthcare team to provide a safe and quality patient experience
Qualifications for the Medical Surgical RN include:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Current Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license
- American Heart Association (AHA) - (BLS Provider) Card
- One year of experience in a medical surgical setting
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
