The Assistant Director, Clinical Services is an integral role within the Organ Work System, at Legacy of Hope (LoH). The Assistant Director, Clinical Services performs OWS supervisory, administrative, and operational responsibilities to facilitate Clinical Services department’s efficiency and mission focus. The qualified candidate will serve as primary supervisor for the procurement transplant coordinator team. As such, the Assistant Director, Clinical Services will ensure the team meets and exceeds external regulations and internal policies. They will also maintain adequate staffing levels by recruiting, rounding, coaching, mentoring, and supervising the team. The Assistant Director, Clinical Services will liaise with the Director, Clinical Services and the Administration and Training staff to support the ongoing professional development of their team.
The Assistant Director, Clinical Services will work alongside the Director and executive leadership team to develop, plan, execute, monitor and adjust strategic planning and performance improvement initiatives with the dedicated focus of expanding our mission’s impact. The expected number of call days will be dictated by staffing needs.
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Required: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in healthcare-related fields not limited to nursing, physician assistance, respiratory therapy, emergency medicine, etc. Two or more years’ experience leading and managing a large, high-performing, diverse team and/or processes.
Preferred: Organ donation and procurement experience.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Required: Current license/certification in respective field. Valid Alabama driver’s license and ability to be insured.
Preferred: Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator (CPTC)
