At Nevada Heart and Vascular (NHVC) The Senior Clinical Analyst, under the direction of the Vice President of Information Technology is primarily tasked with managing applications that will be used for managing patient care. The Senior Clinical Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, implementing, training and supporting our clinics with the use of our clinical applications. The Senior Clinical Analyst will demonstrate experience and knowledge of clinical software applications, computer systems and databases, strong organizational skills, and the ability to supervise and communicate effectively with medical staff and computer technicians.
Requirements:
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare or Information Technology or 5-8 years of supporting an electronic medical records system (EMR) consulting/data management experience or in a related area.
- Possesses excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
- Able to discuss the benefits of a Software as a Service Model
- Basic Knowledge of implementation and configuration of enterprise systems
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Cloud Platforms, and other software technologies.
- Ability to analyze data using statistical software according to strict timelines.
- Ability to learn quickly and think creatively.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Detail-oriented individual with the ability to quickly assimilate and apply new concepts, business models, and technologies.
- Adherence to Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and other regulatory practices and laws.
JOB KNOWLEDGE:
- 5-8 years of experience managing and supporting clinical applications.
- Preferred athenahealth’s AthenaOne platform
- Proven experience working with Providers in a clinical, lab or sleep environment.
- Preferred expertise in supporting cardiology specialty.
- Works effectively and individually with Technical and Non-Technical team members.
- Proven ability to work, communicate and understand clinical workflows.
- Oversees, and has accountability for the successful completion of all aspects of assigned project work.
- Is able to exercise independent judgment and take the lead role on enterprise level project with minimal direction from a director or engagement manager.
- Is able to effectively facilitate meetings, demonstrate brainstorming / consensus building skills, and interact with executive level project sponsors.
- Ability to gather, interpret, and critically analyze data

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
Demonstrates the ability to effectively prepare and maintain the following documents / tools:
- Design, develop, configure, and support clinical applications, databases, and software storing clinical data.
- Capture and process clinical data, including entry, verification, filing, and protection of information.
- Analyze clinical data to develop and optimize clinical workflows.
- Train clinical staff for onboarding and usage of all clinical applications.
- Communicate with medical personnel to determine data analysis and classification requirements.
- Develop and prepare training tools, user manuals, and standard operating procedures.
- Keep up to date on technological advances to provide the highest level of patient care.
- Comply with organizational rules, as well as local, state and federal laws and regulations.
