Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Clinical Resource Nurse, Nurse Clinician. In this role, the successful candidate carries out patient care responsibilities with emphasis on decision making related to the steps in the nursing process to include assessment, diagnosis, identification of expected outcomes, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides competent, safe, and compassionate care based on established NYUHC Patient Care and Nursing Standards.
Job Responsibilities:
- Leads improvement efforts to achieve organizational goals within the quality and safety performance improvement plan (QSPIP) and outperform benchmarks for nurse-sensitive quality indicators.
- Educates the patient/family regarding health status and established plan of care; determines learning needs and implements an educational plan.
- Evaluates the patient’s progress towards expected outcomes; involves the patient/family and interdisciplinary team in the evaluation process.
- Coordinates and directs unit activities to create a healing, humane, and caring environment.
- Leads unit projects to improve unit throughput efficiencies and metrics.
- Complies with unit-based and organization’s professional standards and regulations.
- Collects, assesses, and documents patient healthcare data.
- Leads interventions in the coordination of patient care in a safe, timely, and appropriate manner.
- Analyzes delegation practices to ensure activities are followed through.
- Complies with annual education and mandatory/regulatory requirements.
- Serves as a support resource and preceptor for nursing staff and students.
- Engages in self-assessment and peer review; utilizes resources to meet individual learning needs.
- Adheres to patient care and nursing standards in care delivery.
- Volunteers to lead unit practice councils (UPC) activities.
Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a Current Registered Professional Nurse in New York, Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, and Basic Life Support Certification through the American Heart Association. Fluent written and spoken English language skills are required.
Required Licenses: Registered Nurse License-NYS, Basic Life Support Cert.
Preferred Qualifications:
Membership in pertinent professional organizations preferred.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $110,000.00 - $168,114.00 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need.
