The Department of Computer Science of the University of Texas at Austin invites applications for tenure-track faculty positions. Outstanding candidates in all areas of Computer Science will be considered with particular attention given to candidates working in Computer Systems (particularly security, architecture, and databases), Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning and its applications, particularly Scientific Machine Learning, and Quantum Computing.
Applicants whose research programs broadly align with foundational and generative AI are especially encouraged to apply, as multiple positions in these areas may be available through UT Austin’s Cluster Hiring Program in AI and Data Analytics (AI DA). Candidates who are particularly well suited to the AI DA cluster hiring program will be given the option to be considered for this opportunity and may be asked to submit additional materials to the cluster hiring committee.
