POSITION OVERVIEW
As a Critical Care Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care by utilizing advanced nursing skills and evidence-based practices. In this position, you'll provide comprehensive, hands-on nursing care while actively collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to achieve the best patient outcomes. You'll take on leadership responsibilities, serving as a shift resource or team leader, where your expertise and decision-making skills will directly impact patient care quality. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide comprehensive patient care in alignment with core standards, policies, and evidence-based practices.
- Manage patient assessments, care planning, implementation, evaluation, and discharge planning.
- Collaborate to reduce patient wait times and length of stay, working closely with case management.
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information.
- Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and inventory shortages to the Supervisor.
- Advocate for patients and families, ensuring their needs are met.
- Identify and address opportunities for improving patient care and outcomes.
- Promote a culture of safety and follow infection prevention policies.
- Contribute to cost-saving efforts through efficient use of resources and staff.
- Participate in quality improvement activities and patient satisfaction initiatives.
- Mentor and train new staff, fostering a positive learning environment.
- Apply transcultural nursing principles and participate in patient education.
- Comply with hospital policies and engage in ongoing professional development.
- Perform additional duties as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree/Diploma in Nursing is required.
- Experience: Two years of nursing experience with Bachelor’s or four years with Associate Degree/Diploma is required. ICU or Emergency Room experience preferred.
- Licensing:
- Valid license from Saudi Commission for Health Specialties (SCFHS)
- Basic Life Support
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) as applicable
- Skills:
- Advanced Clinical Skills
- Proven Leadership Skills
- Knowledge of Quality of Care Standards
- Languages: Must be proficient in English. Arabic language proficiency is also a plus.
- Location: Saudi Arabia; candidates must be willing to relocate.
