OTE - $200,000 -$225,000 per year *UNCAPPED COMMISSION*
In this role you will be responsible for targeting, selling and promoting oncology products to GYN oncologists and other specialized oncology medical or healthcare providers. The oncology sales consultant manages his/her territory in order to maintain existing accounts, develop acquisition plans for new accounts and to achieve district and corporate objectives.
As a member of the oncology sales team, you will work closely with the Area Sales Manager and other area sales team members to achieve overall objectives. They will provide quality consultative information, coordinate and integrate outside alliances as well as other internal personnel to fit customer needs.
Responsibilities:
- Must be able to demonstrate a mastery of products clinical efficacy
- Articulate a strong value proposition for the customer, and provide patient and reimbursement support, while meeting or exceeding their sales goals
- Targets, develops, assesses, and maintains a thorough understanding of key customers while maintaining a high-level stakeholder position
- Uses strategic thought process in developing and maintaining an active customer database
- In depth mastery of clinical and technical knowledge related to products promoted and disease state management
- Mastery of key account management, best practices, and sales development
- Develops exceptionally well-designed business plans with resource allocations that link to strong business results
- Demonstrates a mastery of knowledge and analysis of business, products, technical issues, and the marketplace
- Extremely customer focused and able to build and foster strong positive relationships with key decision makers and opinion leaders
- Exemplifies strong collaboration and teamwork skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Proactively uses resources and shares best practices that lead to achieving or exceeding business goals
- Adheres to company compliance guidelines, policy, and procedures.
- Demonstrate consistent sales results and leadership behaviors in and out of the region
- Partners as need with internal stakeholders to include: marketing, sales training, medical, sales management and operations
- Fosters and maintains company relationships with key decision makers and opinion leaders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (Biological Science or related discipline preferred)
- 3-5 years of pharmaceutical, biotech, medical selling experience or oncology medical experience (nurse/doctor) equivalent
- Scientific background and understanding of clinical trials preferred.
- Strong clinical expertise in various tumor types (Prostate, CRC, Lung, GIST, Sarcoma, Niche Tumors, etc.) preferred
- Excellent negotiation skills as well as written and oral communication skills
- Proven track record of consistent performance in meeting and exceeding sales goals
- Must have a valid U.S. driver's license and is eligible to drive a company car or pooled vehicle (driving record must meet guidelines based on the company’s Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers and MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening)
- Ability to travel as necessary or required, which will include overnights and/or weekend travel
