Starting Salary is up to $68,000 annually (negotiable). Because work-life-balance is a priority at State Farm, compensation is based on our standard 38:45-hour work week! Salary offered is dependent on skills and qualifications, with the high end of the range limited to applicants with significant relevant experience.

Responsibilities
Employee Health Services (EHS) is a function within the Human Resources & Development (Talent Operations – Performance Support division) at State Farm. As an Occupational Health Nurse you will handle Fitness For Duty (FFD) and Substance Abuse (SA) cases. This individual will also be responsible for promoting Wellness/Live Well Be Well programs to leaders and employees mainly during team huddles. Role expectations also include the use of software (Cority) to chart and track compliance information. While physically in the office, the Occupational Health Nurse will handle employee medical emergencies, coordinate/facilitate blood pressure clinics and wellness activities.
- Serves as a first responder to onsite emergency and crisis situations; determines and implements appropriate medical interventions such as CPR and AED.
- Assesses and documents employee statements/behavior onsite and virtually for Fit for Duty/Substance Abuse/ER situations.
- Provides recommendations and guidance during on-site and virtual FFD/SA/ER situations for leaders, and other HR&D/Ad Services business partners.
- Uses a working knowledge of federal and state regulatory programs and company directives to complete assignments.
- Gathers, documents and analyzes data to identify local well-being needs, progress and trends; makes recommendations for improvements.
- Delivers presentations on enterprise and local health and well-being topics including company benefits.
- Coordinates and leads Wellness Ambassador Teams and solicits new ambassadors.
- Solicits vendors and works with Corporate Procurement to obtain approved services; assists with developing contract specifications; reviews contract provisions.
- Builds and maintains relationships with external vendors; assesses effectiveness/performance of vendors.
- Refers employees to appropriate resources, such as HR&D Shared Services, Total Rewards-Benefits, employee assistance program, and well-being resources.
Qualifications
Required:
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in the state of Texas and may be required to obtain registered nurse license in additional states.
- Currently certified in CPR/Defibrillator (AED).
- Comfortable speaking and presenting in front of groups with varying audiences.
- Job may require incumbent driving of a motor vehicle to conventions, seminars, and industry meetings.
- May be required to work non-standard and irregular hours based on workload and requirements.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate fairs, clinics, and other activities.
- 3 years of experience working as a Registered Nurse in a hospital and/or business setting.
