The department of Emergency Medicine at Indiana University Health and IU School of Medicine is pleased to announce a search for the Vice Chair of Strategic Engagement.
The vice chair will be a catalyst and a visible presence in the department, focusing on creating and sustaining:
- equity, inclusion and belonging
- evidence-based solutions to health equity
- representational diversity
- cultural humility
The selected candidate will provide vision and leadership in DEI and lead the development, implementation and oversight of programs and initiatives designed to create an environment where DEI are embedded in the departmental culture.
- Serve on the departmental senior leadership team
- assess departmental benchmark performance in inclusive excellence
- monitor metrics applicable to the AAMC diversity engagement survey, retention and promotion demographics
- provide vision and leadership for equity and inclusion initiatives across the department's tripartite mission, including clinical care, research and education.
Qualifications:
- MD or PhD preferred
- Completed Residency in Emergency Medicine
