About the Position
As a Radiation Therapist, you will be responsible for accurately delivering radiation therapy treatment while assisting the physicist in calibrating equipment, preparing isodose curves, preparing wedge, and compensating filters and data computer estimation. At Harris Health, you will assist or function as radium curator in addition to administering radiotherapy treatments to patients. At times, it may be necessary for you to apply simple surgical dressings. To ensure the highest standard of patient care and monitor for optimal results, the Radiation Therapist also supervises the follow-up program and observes the patient's clinical progress in order to consult with physicians regarding treatment.
Requirements
- Graduate from JRCERT accredited program in Radiation Therapy
- Certification in Radiation Therapy by the ARRT
- Valid MRT license from the Texas Medical Board (TSDH)
- Current CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross)
