We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Audiologist to join our team. As an Audiologist, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating pediatric patients with hearing and balance disorders. You will work closely with pediatric patients to assess their needs, provide appropriate interventions, and improve their quality of life.
Duties:
- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to assess patients' hearing and balance function
- Interpret test results and provide accurate diagnoses
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on patients' needs and goals
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding hearing loss, communication strategies, and assistive listening devices
- Fit and dispense hearing aids, ensuring proper function and comfort for patients
- Perform follow-up evaluations to monitor treatment progress and make necessary adjustments
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care for patients with complex conditions
- Stay up-to-date with advancements in audiology research, technology, and treatment modalities
- Participate in virtual IEP meetings as needed to summarize audiological evaluations to the SPED team
Qualifications:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Audiology from an accredited program
- Valid state license or certification as an Audiologist
- Strong knowledge of auditory physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology
- Proficiency in conducting diagnostic evaluations using a variety of tests and equipment
- Experience with aseptic technique in performing procedures such as earwax removal or tympanometry
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques related to the auditory system
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Compassionate bedside manner and ability to establish rapport with patients of all ages
- Must be legally eligible to work
- Valid state certification or licensure
