You Have:
- High School Diploma or GED
- A minimum of two years of quality lab testing experience in an industrial environment.
- Experience with MS Office and SAP preferred
- Experience with sensitive manufacturing technical testing instruments.
- Strong mental math abilities
- Ability to work a rotating 12-hour shift, days, nights, and two weekends a month.
Your Purpose:
You will provide daily analysis and reporting of product quality data and lab results and provide valuable information with regards to the manufacturing quality of Gerdau's steel. You will conduct product testing and inspections for chemical analysis and mechanical testing and report defects or off-specification results and report findings to the management team.
Your Work:
- Maintain test equipment to ensure continual operation.
- Review test results to report on Certified Test Report.
- Prepare samples in ovens for testing and trials.
- Observe and follow all general and departmental safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain spill prevention, containment, response, and clean up or assist in clean up.
- Utilization of Expense Management Matrix and the Gerdau Business System concepts.
- Maintain equipment, housekeeping, and apply the 5S methodology in the area.
