Position Summary
Location: New York City
Compensation: $60,000 - $85,000, based on experience
Benefits: Full-time position; paid time off (10 days vacation, sick, and public holidays); 10 days non-paid time off (after 6 months for non-paid, 12 months for paid); reimbursement for gas, tolls, and parking garage fees if applicable.
Our client is seeking a Lighting Auditor to conduct detailed lighting assessments across the NYC metro area, aimed at providing upgrade proposals for building owners and managers. The role requires on-site evaluations of current lighting systems, data collection, and collaboration with design and engineering teams to propose effective lighting and energy-efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote Energy Efficiency Programs: Actively promote energy efficiency programs to clients by performing scheduled lighting assessments. Deliver high-quality services and engage professionally with utility customers.
- Site Assessments and Data Collection: Conduct comprehensive on-site lighting assessments at client properties. Measure and record details on existing lighting fixtures, including types, condition, technology, and more. Analyze lighting energy consumption and document key data such as light levels, fixture heights, lighting power density, space measurements, and sensor/controls information.
- Post-Audit Support: Collaborate with engineering and design teams to develop solution recommendations, project outcomes, and financial implications based on audit findings.
- Lighting Design and Recommendations: Design and propose lighting system upgrades that enhance energy efficiency. Recommend suitable products that align with client needs and adhere to compliance standards.
- Compliance and Standards: Ensure all recommendations follow local, state, and federal regulations. Stay informed on best practices and industry standards in energy efficiency.
- Professional Representation: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, representing our client and its partners effectively.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and interviewing skills.
- Ability to work independently, stay organized, and handle diverse responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
- Strong data entry and accuracy in documenting audit findings in databases and tracking systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in lighting auditing.
- Experience using Snapcount Lighting Auditing Software is a plus.
Licenses & Certifications
Valid driver’s license required.
