Job Summary
The Sr. Manager, ERP Solutions is responsible for driving large scale enterprise, cross-functional technology programs tied to goals and initiatives, including the ERP programs (Finance, MRO etc.). Working closely with business teams and effectively building solid relationships and pushing IT value upstream and long-term goals. Collaborates with business partners to find alternatives and solutions to business challenges. Identifying and implementing continuous improvement initiatives, processes and tools that support enhancements in productivity, efficiency, issue resolution and cost. This position is also responsible for managing and supporting ERP applications and enterprise reporting solutions.
Responsibilities
- Deliver programs on schedule, budget, and in accordance to the specification.
- Enhance the business processes by reducing manual efforts and providing alternate solutions.
- Ensure the projects/tasks are being implemented using the right technical approach and standards.
- Ensure the business processes are running smoothly and being monitored.
- Create alerts to monitor the critical business jobs.
- Provide support to the end users.
- Provide end user training by creating documentation/manuals and webinars.
- Lead successful end-to-end delivery of the technology programs through active leadership and engagement at both a strategic and detailed program level.
- Handle large scale cross-functional programs and act as a liaison between business teams and IT teams to ensure that the business requirements are completely met by the proposed solutions.
- Guide the development and execution of strategic and tactical plans for the support, adoption, expansion and upgrades to enterprise systems solutions.
- Provide reliable solutions to a wide range of difficult problems including evaluation of new technologies to improve existing functions.
- Identify, communicate, and escalate project issues and risks promptly and formally manage risk mitigation plans in close collaboration with Business and IT and Leadership.
- Provide project status and summary to wide audiences including senior management.
- Provide timely updates and elevate critical risks to project, management, and senior executive teams.
- Contribute to advanced technical research on new technologies and determining feasibility of team or functional goals/objectives.
- Draft and submit proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate hires if necessary during project cycle.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members and contractors, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, accounting, or a related field.
Experience
- 5-7 years’ experience in ERP implementation and management.
- 3-5 years’ experience as a people leader.
Certifications
- PMP certification, preferred.
Specialized Skills
- Effectively applying tax knowledge to the preparation of business returns.
- In-depth understanding of computer systems used in the tax preparation process.
- Understanding of how to track legislation in various states to accurately report activities and spot opportunities.
- Able to develop and maintain processes to manage property taxes, unclaimed taxes, sales and use taxes, hotel taxes and liquor taxes.
- Has the desire to plan and act to exceed or surpass a standard of excellence.
- Able to use logic, data and accurate analysis to solve difficult problems and provide effective solutions.
