Applications are invited from suitably qualified & experienced candidates to fill the Rental Sales Consultant position - NSO Sandton.
To identify rental sales opportunities and build long term relationships with rental companies which yield incremental volume and share for the VW brand. To ensure economically, and according to needs, that Dealers are assisted in the selling of vehicles to small rental companies.
Possible Tasks within this Role
- Coordinating and managing a rental contact programme for portfolio of key clients.
- Using SAP CRM system & processes to maintain & manage relevant & accurate data on portfolio of key rental clients.
- Optimally utilising the fleet of demonstration vehicles in marketing and promoting VW products and the VW brand amongst rental clients through the active use of the fleet.
- Monitoring & analyzing competitor rental activities and formulating recommendations in this regard.
- Negotiating with rental (small, medium & large) to secure incremental sales.
- Participating in new product launch meetings.
- Advising and informing Dealers and other Divisions regarding rental sales matters.
- Participating in the development of rental sales policy.
- Developing and producing recommendations regarding guidelines for rental packages.
- Analysing rental customer feedback and formulating recommendations technical queries from rental customers.
- Planning and coordinating rental sales promotions and events.
- Evaluating specific corporate sales results and determining further actions required.
- Focusing and measuring rental efforts in the following areas: Rental and corporate sales strategies, prospecting systems, rental sales staff development and selection, CRM processes, rental marketing initiatives, regular client visits and securing new business.
- Liaising with NSO Controlling to ensure optimum sales and financial result.
- Handling relevant rental sales related projects on an ongoing basis to develop and enhance the operation of the Department.
- Maintain & grow relationships with portfolio of key rental customers.
Qualification requirements
A tertiary qualification, preferably in Marketing and/or Sales.
Experience needed
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in retail/marketing.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing of vehicles and sales with above average product knowledge.
Experience in dealing with large client groups.
- Good selling skills.
- Planning and organising skills.
- Flexibility and innovation.
- The ability to work independently.
- The ability to look at the bigger picture and offer a strategic input.
- A very good understanding of CRM and customer contact programmes.
