Job Title: People Process Consultant
Job Description Summary:
The People Process Consultant processes will partner with the People Organization leaders to provide experience and business solution thought leadership. This individual will serve as a consultant to function as the trusted partner to influence and support the People Organization roadmap.
Collaborating with People Organization leaders, this position will explore and investigate business requirements, vision and roadmap and help prioritize process improvements. This position will play a key role in designing and driving the People Organization business outcomes and solution delivery working closely as a partner with the service delivery teams.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Partnering closely with the People SVPs and direct reports to:
- Understand global priorities within the Global Rewards space.
- Consult with and positively influence the People strategy and prioritization of People related programs.
- Assess current state process.
- Liaise with key outcome influencers and stakeholders.
- Propose and enable business solutions that add value to employee experience.
- Drive and develop process and data strategies to improve pipeline process efficiency and program reach.
- Providing thought leadership on process enhancements to improve employee experience.
- Enables effective decision making by proactively leveraging best practices, cross functional collaboration, retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into consumable and actionable business outcomes to advance the People Strategy.
- Partnering with key stakeholders to gather requirements, conduct design workshops, identify fit gap, create, or update functional specifications and use cases.
- Collaborates with COE experts and process analysts to develop functional design based on requirement gathering, best practices and partner with IT to determine best solution and viability.
- Leading and supporting the hand-off for functional artifacts and documents through the technology change cycle – to help support and enable configuration, unit testing, and deployment that IT will drive.
- Ensuring quality assurance by developing strategies for testing, auditing, data usage, and trends.
- Consulting and enabling process documentation and change communication for process updates/enhancements.
- Drive new functionality adoption and process optimization efforts.
- Partnering and supporting IT on ongoing vendor relationship management and SLA evaluations for People platforms.
Role Purpose:
The People Process Consultant is a hands-on role working closely with multiple internal business partners within the People Org, the Employee Experience teams, and the IT enabling teams to provide support and advance the roadmap and strategy for People Digital Systems.
Specific Responsibilities/Accountability Aligned to Strategic Projects:
- Works with the business sponsors to identify the program scope, deliverables/objectives and derive clear business requirements.
- Support the People Organization business case and works with key stakeholders to define and qualify the business outcomes and process enhancements sought.
- Working with IT partners and ensuring that People Systems project milestones and deliverables are met in a timely manner and within budget.
- Drive the requirements gathering, design and create functional specifications and test cases; helps enable and support technical specifications, configuration, unit testing, and deployment that IT owns and drives; informs and supports change management, training and communication.
- Works with the People PMO and IT to resource the project as required by identifying COE experts and process and data specialists to ensure balanced delivery of business outcomes.
- Partners with IT and other enabling teams to deliver on the agreed outcomes.
- Serves as the process expert and partner with People COEs, IT, Finance, and any regional stakeholders regarding process design, data integrity, and security requirements.
- Identify and manage business scope, contain scope creep and ensure agreements and buy in.

- Must be comfortable operating in ambiguity / have an ability to navigate the grey spaces.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively prioritize multiple tasks.
- Must adapt to changing priorities with ease and composure, while continuing to meet established deadlines.
- Must keep abreast of enhancements delivered during product updates and releases.
- Must be highly organized with a strong attention to detail.
- Must be a good storyteller with strong interpersonal and written communication skills – can distill detailed and complex concepts into simple understandable constructs.
- Ability to perform effectively in a geographically and culturally diverse environment.
Knowledge & Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience as Workday Business Analyst.
- Workday HCM and Compensation module.
- Experience in any other Workday module: Talent, Time and Absence, Payroll, etc. is a plus.
- Workday process integration with Services Now or other ticket/case management platforms is a plus.
- Experience performing process analysis, documentation and simplification.
- Workday or other SaaS implementation experience is a plus.
- Previous experience of process optimization, deployment or supporting internal HR customers and HR platforms.
- Familiarity with Project Management concepts and approach.
- Experience with process simplification and automation is a plus.
