Novant Health is seeking a Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist to provide care to patients undergoing cardiac and vascular procedures. Collaborates with physicians and other team members to assess, implement and evaluate patient care in accordance with current policies and procedures. Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma required. RN graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in appropriate state. OR graduate of an accredited Cardiovascular Technologist Program resulting in RCIS or RCES certification. OR graduate of an accredited Radiological Technologist (RTR) Program and currently registered by ARRT (required). If ARRT certified, the applicant may also be certified in Cardiac Intervention (CI) or Vascular Intervention (VI) in lieu of RCIS or RCES. OR a graduate of an accredited RCIS program resulting in RCIS certification (required). OR other professionals (e.g., Respiratory Therapist (RRT), EMT Paramedic (EMT-P), Cardiovascular Tech) that possess an RCIS/RCES certification or are eligible to sit for the exam in two (2) years of hire.
- Experience: Critical Care/Telemetry/Hemo/Dialysis background, Cath/EP Lab or Special Procedure experience preferred. RT and CVT who do not already possess one of the above-mentioned certifications will have two years from date of hire to obtain.
- Licensure: CVN or CCRN for nursing preferred.
- Additional skills required: Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing. Pass Cardiac Dysrhythmias Test.
