Responsibilities
Manages activities, workflow and nursing resources for one or more assigned specialty nursing areas: Cardiovascular/Cath Lab, Surgical Services, Emergency/Triage, Endoscopy, Adult or Pediatric/NeoNatal Critical Care, Labor & Delivery/Women & Family.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements for self and within the unit(s).
- Identify and resolve issues affecting the delivery of patient care services for the assigned unit(s).
- Develops and implements policies and procedures to guarantee efficient and effective delivery of health services in the unit(s).
- Develop and maintains quality monitoring systems for the assigned unit(s).
- Monitor and adhere to budget. Approve or monitor expenditures, purchases and other actions to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
- Ensure a high level of associate, patient and physician satisfaction.
- Conduct hiring, training, directing, counseling, development and evaluating of staff.
Requirements
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted.
- Required professional licensure/certification AND 3 years of experience and 1 year of cumulative leadership experience required.
