Job Description - Down Hole Diagnostics (DHD) Technician (Rotational Schedule) – Prudhoe Bay, AK (PRU00RA)
This is a remote/rotational position, working three weeks on and three weeks off, in Prudhoe Bay, AK. The typical schedule is 84 hours per week (40 hours straight time and a minimum of 44 hours at time and a half). All meals and lodging are provided by Worley while the employee is on location. Transportation between Anchorage and Prudhoe Bay is provided.

Job Purpose
The Down Hole Diagnostics (DHD) Technician performs wellhead and down hole testing. The DHD position works with all facets of the Greater Prudhoe Bay operating area to provide well evaluations through testing procedures.
Essential Job Functions
- Assist other Technicians with DHD tasks including tubing integrity fluid level testing, mechanical integrity testing, fluid level surveys, arctic pack de-pressure, well bleeding of gas and fluid, and outer annulus re-pressurization testing.
- Research the Well history of above jobs and learn to read well bore schematics.
- Perform well monitoring.
- Perform bleeding operations.
- Perform Tubing Integrity Fluid Level Surveys (TIFL’s).
- Perform functions including: Mechanical Integrity Tests (MIT’s), Combination Integrity Tests (CIT’s), No-Flow Tests (NFT), Liquid Leak Rate Test (LLRT).
- Safely climb ladders of various heights.

- Ability to operate a Box Van.
- Ability to tow trailers used in DHD activities.

Physical Demand/Work Environment
Work is performed in a remote Arctic environment with limited medical resources. Candidate understands the site is approximately 840 miles (at least 4 hours by air ambulance) from surgical, specialist, and tertiary medical care, and where medical evacuation from this location may be significantly delayed due to weather conditions. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the essential functions of this job, the employee is required to:
- Stand, walk on level, uneven and slippery surfaces, sit, squat, kneel, crawl, reach through low and high ranges, work overhead, and exhibit normal balance and coordination.
- Stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Drive for prolonged periods of time in the dark and inclement weather.
- Climb scaffold, ramps, stairs, equipment, portable ladders, and/or wellhouse/tank/facility fixed ladders of 20 feet or greater.
- Wear and utilize fall protection within manufacturer specifications.
- Lift 50 lbs. from floor to waist with two hands.
- Lift 50 lbs. from floor to shoulder with two hands.
- Carry 50 lbs. for 15 feet with two hands.
- Push/pull 60 lbs. sled for 20 feet.
- Push/pull 90 lbs. cart for 20 feet.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be able to acquire a Class A CDL with tanker and hazardous endorsement within 6 months of employment and the ability to be insured by Worley's auto insurer.
- Six months petrochemical, oilfield or arctic experience required.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
- North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC). Worley can provide NSTC certification training if needed.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current class A CDL with tanker, hazmat endorsement and current DOT medical card.
- One (1) year experience working in the field of DHD.
- One (1) year experience with IBM, PC, Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, and database systems (e.g., Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
