Position Summary:
Plans, directs, and coordinates nutritional services and care for inpatients; establishes policies and procedures for patient nutritional care; supports Food Services and Nursing Departments with education regarding patient nutritional care; assists in establishing policies and procedures for food safety/sanitation, preparation, and distribution.
Pay: Rate of pay is based on years of experience and qualifications.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Licensed Dietitian with the State Board of Examiners of Dietitians
- Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained from the American Heart Association and/or American Red Cross. Online certification is not acceptable.
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements:
- Strong knowledge of nutrition and dietetics, including familiarity with methods of teaching, principles of education, and nutritional requirements of individuals of varying ages and degrees of health.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Detail-oriented, able to meet strict time frames.
