JOB DESCRIPTION
The Winnipeg Regional Health Authority is seeking motivated Physician/Clinical Assistants available to work additional shifts at Selkirk Mental Health Centre. This opportunity is open to PA/Cl.A.s currently employed by the WRHA to work above their EFT at Selkirk Mental Health Centre. Suitable applicants will be able to begin work with minimal orientation.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Physician/Clinical Assistant will be required to perform, order, and interpret diagnostic, therapeutic investigations/interventions. Duties of this position can/will include performing history and physical exams in a variety of settings that could include the Mental Health wards. Physician/Clinical Assistants will be required to attend clinical and educational rounds. Administrative requirements will include standard of practice recordings of all patient encounters; these methods may require dictating or utilizing electronic medical records where/when available. Assistants must be able to communicate effectively in English with other members of interdisciplinary healthcare teams.

QUALIFICATIONS
- Must be currently employed in the WRHA as a PA/Cl.A.
- At least one year recent experience working as a PA/Cl.A. in Mental Health required.
- Experience with EPR preferred.
- ACLS preferred.

Please note that an employee is not permitted to hold two or more EFT positions greater than 1.0 combined across the WRHA legal entity (Deer Lodge Centre, Grace Hospital, Health Sciences Centre, Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, River Park Gardens, Victoria General Hospital, WRHA Corporate Programs, WRHA Community Health Services). Consider this prior to applying for positions, as Employees in this situation cannot be awarded an additional position that will put them over full-time (1.0 EFT).
