Non-Profit Health System to assist in the recruitment of a
Nurse Director for a
Multi-Campus Emergency Service Line position. They are headlined by a Level II Trauma Center that serves as a tertiary referral center for 15 counties and the largest ED in the region. This position will work collaboratively with the entire Critical Care leadership team, reporting to the System's Chief Nursing Officer.
ER Nurse Director Responsibilities:
- Oversee multiple Emergency Departments across multiple campuses.
- Create a culture that supports mentoring and shared decision-making.
- Establish and maintain an engaged work culture in which front-line employees share in decisions and take ownership of results.
- Establish targets and processes to monitor programmatic growth, clinical equality, and effective operations within the designated unit.
- With the assistance of assigned financial staff, review periodic financial statements and reports and make changes in resource allocation, spending, and other relevant business activities to ensure financial viability and budget compliance.
- Understand and use performance management tools for staff and work groups effectively and continually.
- Teach the discipline of continuous improvement through example and in all opportunities practice it.
- Provide timely and thorough performance reviews.

ED Director Requirements:
- Masters degree required. Masters in Nursing preferred. Non-BSN candidates with an MSN will be considered.
- Ability to obtain an RN License.
- Two (2) years of progressive leadership experience at the Director level in the Emergency Room required.
- Seven (7) years of clinical/bedside nursing experience required, preferably in the Emergency Department.
