Job Summary and Qualifications
Seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our laboratory team who will foster an environment of teamwork, quality, and safety for our patients. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other.
What You Will Do In This Role:
- You will perform manual and automated test procedures.
- You will accurately report laboratory results, to include special calculations and critical values.
- You will perform a broad range of laboratory procedures or concentrate your activities in one area such as chemistry, hematology, and microbiology.
- You will answer inquiries regarding tests, methodology, test specificity, and sensitivity.
- You will evaluate and solve problems related to the collection and processing of biological specimens for analysis.
- You will work efficiently and respond to stats and other priority tests to provide optimum patient care.
What Qualifications You Will Need:
- Associate Degree in a Chemical, Physical, Biological, or Medical Laboratory Technology/Clinical Laboratory Technology (MLT/CLT) from an accredited institution.
- Or be qualified under CLIA guidelines for MLT/CLT.
- MLT (ASCP) or equivalent preferred.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical laboratory preferred.
