Legacy Engineering, P.C., is a small, woman-owned civil engineering firm specializing in land development design, geotechnical services, construction materials testing and inspections along with surveying and consulting. We are headquartered in Fredericksburg, Virginia and proudly serve clients throughout the Commonwealth. We are seeking a highly motivated team player to join our team! We are in immediate need for an experienced Billing Specialist to ensure accurate and timely processing of billing and invoicing for a mid-sized company in a civil engineering firm. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of experience handling billing in multiple departments; possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
This role is located at 641 Prince Edward Street Fredericksburg, VA 22401 and will be required to be onsite with some travel to other offices.
Job Responsibilities
- Timely processing of billing for multiple locations
- Producing, reviewing, and finalizing invoices in adherence to project contracts and agreed-upon terms
- Communicating effectively with internal stakeholders, including project managers, accountants, and senior management, to ensure seamless billing processes
- Maintaining positive relationships with staff and clients
- Contributing to process improvements and automation initiatives to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of billing functions
- Maintain client electronic files
- Correspond with clients and respond to inquiries.
- Any other assigned tasks
Qualifications
- Billing Experience Required! AEC industry or multi-faceted engineering, law, or accounting firms preferable
- Excellent organizational, problem solving and attention to detail skills
- Ability to maintain an elevated level of confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Strong technology skills, including advanced proficiency with MS Office Suite with an emphasis in Excel and Deltek VantagePoint and Paycor
- Experience providing excellent customer service
- Team player with great interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to lift and/or move 50+ pounds
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time in an office environment.
- Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Attention to detail and quality, while adhering to all safety requirements.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
- Use of company provided equipment and working knowledge of MS Office programs.
