TAX MANAGER- 1040 SPECIALIST
Location: Denver, CO
Pay Range: $107,500-$135,000

What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- CPA License or Enrolled Agent.
- Minimum 5 years of individual income tax engagement experience in public accounting/professional services firm.
What You'll Be Doing:
As a Tax Manager 1040 Specialist you will review 1040 individual income tax returns, manage client engagements, and coach, mentor, and supervise other tax professionals. You will have the opportunity to serve as the primary client contact for a variety of engagements. You may also represent the firm through community involvement and events.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Proven technical proficiency in detailed review of complex tax returns including 1040 and Schedule C & E.
- Develop client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor.
- Participate in client meetings to assist with answering questions, review returns, research tax issues, and be involved in strategic tax planning.
- Review workpapers and individual tax returns prepared by tax consultants and other department professionals including technically complex returns.
- Deliver exceptional client experience by building collaborative teams and mentoring team members on specialization areas, research skills, and helps to appropriately frame tax issues for analysis.
- Conduct internal training for your team on tax topics.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- Experience with tax research databases such as Thomas Reuters and RIA.
- Proficient in all tax compliance software including Caseware, Suralink, GoFileRoom, GoSystems, SafeSend, Sure Prep, Depreciation, and standard tax workpapers.
