Position Overview
We are seeking a Sr. Actuarial Analyst - Auto who is interested in working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. The candidate will have exposure to multiple projects including pricing, reserving, product development and regulatory filings. The candidate should have strong technical and analytical skills, attention to detail, and be able to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences. The position can be located in either Philadelphia, PA or New York, NY.
Responsibilities:
- Actuarial analysis of insurance rates, coverage terms and rating rules
- Preparation of regulatory filings
- Ad hoc projects as need arises
- Collaborate with Underwriting and Sales in product development and program management
Salary: $85k - $120k (Starting salary will be determined based on skills and experience).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, or another field with a rigorous mathematics background
- At least 3 years of actuarial P&C experience; commercial filing experience a plus
- Results-oriented with the ability to multi-task and adjust priorities when necessary
- Proficient in Excel and familiarity with SQL and VBA
