The Senior Disaster Recovery Program Manager will be responsible for advising clients who are navigating complex government funding projects and supporting anticipated needs following a disaster. A successful candidate for this role should be subject matter experts on program management and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Public Assistance (PA) policy, as they will work to appropriately guide clients through both administrative and policy challenges involved in the post-disaster recovery process. The Senior Disaster Recovery Program Manager will support clients on-site.
Candidates for Senior Disaster Recovery Program Manager will be considered for contract-based positions.
Responsibilities for the Senior Disaster Recovery Program Manager Include:
- Develop strong client relationships and serve as a daily, hands-on, programmatic thought leader for client stakeholders.
- Utilizing FEMA PA policy expertise, establish strategic and tactical recovery program goals, and ensure delivery in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
- Guide cross-functional program teams, ensuring adherence to budgets and deadlines, and communicating progress and status to stakeholders.
- Identify and implement process improvement opportunities to increase overall team and project productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with procurement principles, laws, rules, and regulations as outlined by the Federal Government, including Office of Management and Budget (OMB) circulars, Code of Federal Regulations (CFR), etc.
Qualifications for the Senior Disaster Recovery Program Manager Include:
- A minimum of five (5) years of experience leveraging FEMA PA policy.
- A Bachelor’s Degree.
- Proven experience managing projects/programs of various sizes, including development of federal grants, project plans, and creation/maintenance of project budgets.
- Comprehensive understanding of Title 2 and the CFR Section 200, as well as post-obligation grant management activities and compliance requirements.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills and high proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications for the Senior Disaster Recovery Program Manager Include:
- Prior deployment or other experience with disaster recovery missions for a consulting firm, a public-sector jurisdiction, or while badged with FEMA PA Technical Assistance Contract (TAC).
Compensation for the Senior Disaster Recovery Program Manager Includes:
- Salary range of $85,000 - $150,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skills, experience and training, licensure and certifications, internal equity, location, travel requirements, and other business and organizational needs.
