Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and experienced Commercial Lender to join our team with a long standing client. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial lending, a deep understanding of the local market, and a passion for helping businesses succeed. As a Commercial Lender, you will be responsible for developing and managing a diverse portfolio of commercial loans, fostering relationships with clients, and contributing to the bank’s growth and community involvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Loan Origination: Identify and pursue new business opportunities by networking, attending community events, and building relationships with local businesses and professionals.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their financial needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Credit Analysis: Conduct thorough credit analyses, including assessing financial statements, creditworthiness, and risk factors, to make informed lending decisions.
- Portfolio Management: Monitor and manage an assigned portfolio of loans, ensuring compliance with bank policies and regulations while proactively addressing any issues that may arise.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, including underwriting, compliance, and operations, to ensure smooth loan processing and a positive client experience.
- Market Knowledge: Stay informed about industry trends, economic conditions, and regulatory changes that may impact clients and the bank’s lending practices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field.
- Proven experience in commercial lending, with a track record of successful loan origination and portfolio management.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess financial information and make sound lending decisions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of local market conditions and community needs.
- Proficiency in lending software and Microsoft Office Suite.
